I am honored to do work that is based upon trust, honesty and vulnerability. I am dedicated to the wellbeing and personal growth of each individual that steps into my office. And it thrills me to support clients’ desire to live their wildly authentic life, provide personalized resources, and attend to an individual’s inner most dreams and goals.
Much in the same way that many of us experience similar dreams, patterns, experiences, and yet no two are alike, each time I sit with a client, I honor each individual’s uniqueness. Just like an artist follows the muse of the painting or the senses in a dance, I follow the natural shape of each person’s psyche and needs.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the Atwater Village neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. I earned my MA in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, a school grounded in Depth Psychology with the ethos of caring for individuals and the community alike. In addition, I bring together feminist and postmodern theories, non-violent communication, Internal Family Systems and somatic models of psychotherapy to my work.
After graduating Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2004, I moved west to Portland, OR. It was in Portland that I became aware of a variety of healing art modalities that were the seeds which led me to pursue a career in psychotherapy. Among the teachers and traditions that have influenced me and continue to inspire me are: Reiki, Naturopathy, Acupuncture, Shamanism, Alexander Technique, Body-Mind Centering, yoga, flower essences, meditation, sound healing, dream work, Contact Improvisation and Authentic Movement.
